The show was fantastic and the set and props were amazing. I gave this review 4 stars because we sat in the first row of the upper mezzanine and the seats were awful. Our knees hit the half wall in front of us. My husband and I are of average height but I imagine that a person 6 ft tall or taller would never be able to sit in those seats. Extremely cramped and uncomfortable. The man in the seat behind is complained as well. It made us wish for the show to be over quickly. I purposely chose those seats thinking that I would be able to see all of the stage and see all of the times that things happen up high, such as a bird flying through the audience or Mary Poppins flying over our head. It made me wish I had chose the seats on the main level, looking down at them they had a normal amount of leg room unlike the mezzanine seats.Other than the seats being so bad the show and cast were amazing.

Mary Poppins was a hit for our family!
My daughter and I went for her Sweet 16 celebration and we were thrilled! Mary and Bert carried the show. The set is out of this world - and the special effects were wonderful. I missed "Stay Awake" and "I Love to Laugh" from the movie, but I understand the show is different. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

A memory made!!!
Watching Mary Poppins with two children, their spouses and four grandchildren was exciting enough....but the music and dancing was incredible! The nursery scene was "toned down" from a year ago - much less frightening for little ones. The dance numbers were colorful, energetic and memorable. "Step in Time" was the favorite scene - especially with Burt dancing up the walls and on the ceiling - of the two grandsons and Mary Poppins flying away over the audience was the grand daughters favorite part. For anyone who complains that the show isn't like the "movie" - Shame on them!!! It's the written story of "Mary Poppins" - not the Disney version. In fact, it's much better than the movie!! It was an incredible "memory making" day for our family! A show not to be missed - even if you don't have children to take.

Mary Poppins was fabulous!
I splurged on orchestra seats (front row!) for my twins' sixth birthday and Mary Poppins was worth every penny! My girls were laughing out loud - even the conductor turned and smiled at their thorough enjoyment of this musical. The music, the dance, the staging and the acting were all top notch. I found myself stomping my feet and singing along to music that is so familiar and uplifting. I would definitely consider seeing this production of Mary Poppins again. We loved it!!

Too long for younger kids
While the acting and singing were very good there were some odd things in this play. I understand that this is their own take on Mary Poppins but it was odd to have some songs from the movie yet have them in scenes and events that never occurred in the movie. We took our five year old daughter who enjoyed it but by intermission she was starting to drift, we left shortly after. 3 hours is a bit long for her age group, even I was starting to get a bit board by that point. I would say it might be more enjoyable for an older child.

Mary Poppins
Not only was Mary Poppins wonderful, but the crew at the theatre was wonderful as well, This was our first time in New York and we were looking forward to a fun filled weekend, our first Broadway show, when the weather put a huge damper on it. Due to the unexpected snow we were 11 hours late getting to New York and missed our show time on Sat night. We stopped by the box office the next afternoon and they reisssued our tickets for Sunday evening. So thanks you so much for letting us enjoy a wonderful evening.
